The Science of Sex and Gender in Human Health is a free online series of courses designed to create a foundation for sex and gender accountability in medical research and treatment by enabling researchers, clinicians, and students in the health professions to integrate knowledge of sex and gender differences and similarities into their research and practice.

Created by the Office of Research on Women’s Health, National Institutes of Health, The Office of Women’s Health, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, eligible participants who complete all lesson quizzes with a score of at least 70 percent and complete a brief evaluation form for each course may receive continuing medical education (CME) credit.

Women’s Health Conferences offered by the NIH and other U.S. government agencies covering women’s health-related issues. 

• Association of American Medical Colleges has a listing of professional development groups.

• Leadership Development Courses are offered by the Association of American Medical Colleges.  A course catalog is also available.

• NICHD Women's Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) Career Development site is designed for those who recently completed postgraduate clinical training to further their education and experience in basic, translational, and clinical research in obstetrics and gynecology.

• U.S. National Library of Medicine offers awards for informatics trainees to help them transition to a successful independent biomedical research career.

• UMass Medical School Office of Faculty Affairs development and mentoring program offers continuing education classes, a leadership series, and mentoring.

• UMass Medical School Continuing Education hosts the CRPG (Clinical Research Professionals Group), which meets 6 to 8 times a year on a variety of topics relevant to study conduct. GCP (Good Clinical Practice) training is a 12-hour educational program offered 3 to 4 times per year to provide the essentials of clinical research regulations and UMass policies concerning clinical research practice.
