About the Humanitites in Medicine Committee

The Humanities in Medicine Committee at UMass Medical School was founded in 2002 with the goal of promoting greater awareness of the value of the humanities in healthcare, medical education, and biomedical research.  The Committee represents members of the UMass Medical community including faculty, staff, students, and the Worcester District Medical Society and sponsors book signings, lectures, and other events.

Meetings are scheduled for the second Monday of each month and are held from 12:00 - 1:00 pm in the Lamar Soutter Library's Rare Book Room.
