Teaching Research Data Management with the New England Collaborative Data Management Curriculum: Workshop Agenda

This one day class using the NE Collaborative Data Management Curriculum is intended for librarians who are interested in teaching faculty and students concepts and best practices for research data management.

Agenda

The purpose of this one day workshop is to  train librarians about research data management best practices and to demonstrate the teaching materials within the New England Collaborative Data Management Curriculum.  Insructors will refer to the National Science Foundation's requirements for a data management plan during the workshop and will discuss data management activities in an actual research case to illustrate key data management issues and practices. Intstruction will be geared toward teaching librarians how to teach RDM to their users.

Prior to the workshop, all attendees should attend the webinar, "Best Practices for Teaching RDM and Consulting on Data Management Plans in New England", on Thursday October 31st from 12-1 pm. Please note: a more detailed agenda for the workshop is forthcoming. The workshop is a full day and will run from 8 am to 5 pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
