Review, approve and map new submissions

These instructions explain how to review and approve (or reject) new submissions into eScholarship@UMassChan. See also specific directions for Dissertation Publishing.

How to move an item to another collection

Follow these steps to change the owning collection of an item. This is sometimes necessary, for example, if an item is uploaded to the wrong collection.

  1. Log in to eScholarship@UMassChan
  2. Navigate to the item
  3. Edit this item
  4. Select the Status tab
  5. Select "Move this item to a different collection"
  6. Search for the collection where you want to move the item
  7. Usually check "inherit policies" to inherit the access polices of the destination collection
  8. Save

Dissertation publishing

These instructions explain how to process new submissions and register DOIs for Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Dissertations and Theses and Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing Dissertations submitted by students into eScholarship@UMassChan.

Detailed submission guidelines for students are set up as a Help page: Dissertation / Thesis Submission Guidelines

Mapping items to PQHS collections

Mapping items to collections for faculty members in the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences (PQHS) is particularly challenging. This is because (1) one division and one center in PQHS have their own sub-collections in the eScholarship@UMassChan and (2) they are all using RSS feeds from eScholarship to display publication lists on their school websites.
