Browzine

Lamar Soutter Library implemented a new eReader application called BrowZine. With BrowZine you can stay current with trends in your field by browsing, reading and monitoring some of the library’s best journals, all from your Apple or Android device. With BrowZine you can: Easily read complete scholarly journals in a format that is optimized for the iPad or Android device; Create a personal bookshelf of favorite journals; Be alerted when new editions of journals are published.

 BrowZine MOBILE ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS

To get started, search for “BrowZine” in the Apple App Store for the iPad version or Google Play for Android version (4.0 and higher). Download the app for free. When initially launching BrowZine, select University of Massachusetts Medical School from the drop down list.

Enter your EZproxy Login (Barcode) and Password in the Settings area. This will provide you with access to LSL Holdings.

Check your wireless settings and make sure you are connected to the Internet. You may want to open your browser to verify you are connected to the Internet. Open BrowZine, Browse by Subject or Title.

You can also setup Favorites to remain current with specific journals and Save Articles to read in the future.

A few notes:

Not all of our holdings are available through BrowZine. LSL has subscriptions to more journals than those available from BrowZine.  Some of the subscriptions that are available include:

  • Elsevier
  • Wiley
  • American Chemical Society
  • IEEE
  • Nature
