EndNote is a bibliographic management tool that allows users to create and organize a library of citations and abstracts and then insert them into a Microsoft Word document.
The Lamar Soutter Library is pleased to provide the University of Massachusetts Medical School with EndNote software for both Windows and Mac users.
The latest version of the software offered by the library (as of May 2019) is EndNote X9.
The license covers UMMS students, faculty and staff, and staff of our clinical partner, UMass Memorial Health Care. The software can be installed on UMMS or UMMHC computers and up to two personal computers per user.
School Provided or Personal Computer Installation Instructions for EndNote X9 on Windows:
EndNote is also available from the Software Center which may be available on your UMMS provided computer
If you run into any issues downloading EndNote, please contact Victoria Rossetti for a direct link
Please note: If you are running OS 10.15 Catalina or higher you MUST use EndNote X9 or the program will not be compatible; all older EndNote versions are 32-bit applications and will not be supported by Mac beginning fall 2019. Please be sure to allow all EndNote updates as requested to avoid impacting the program's functionality. Source: https://bit.ly/33J6SYO
