Advancing Accessibility and Inclusion in Health Care for People with Disabilities: People with mental, cognitive and physical disabilities often face significant barriers in accessing quality healthcare. These barriers can include inaccessible facilities, lack of trained healthcare providers, and inadequate communication tools. By focusing on the needs of people with disabilities, we can create a more inclusive healthcare system that provides equitable access to quality care.
Purpose: Designed to lift the voices and stories of diverse communities that have been traditionally marginalized
The CTM Series features local and national speakers that present new or partially formed DEI initiatives. This informal venue is designed to spark inquiry and innovation in the DEI space.
All CTM talks focus on the unique perspectives related to the experiences of diverse communities. The series intentionally centers on the narratives of silenced communities and aims to create an educational space for participants to discuss the systemic barriers that impact marginalized groups.
Goal: This series strives to create a community that can discuss, bond, and celebrate the unique needs, and concerns associated with intersections of identity, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity & expression, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and ability.
