The Humanities in Medicine Committee at UMass Chan Medical School was founded in 2002 with the goal of promoting greater awareness of the value of the humanities in healthcare, medical education, and biomedical research. The Committee represents members of the UMass Chan Medical community including faculty, staff, students, and the Worcester District Medical Society and sponsors book signings, lectures, and other events.
Meetings are held the second Monday of each month in the Lamar Soutter Library's Rare Book Room, 12:00 pm to 1:00pm.
