Children's Friend - Services designed to meet the mental and emotional needs of children and strengthen families.  Programs: adoption and family services, counseling, grief center, school-age mother program, childcare.

Friendly HouseMulti-service neighborhood center provides assistance including shelter, emergency help, food, medical care, after school and summer programs, day care, senior programs and counseling.

YWCA Central MassAll-inclusive women’s advocacy and resource center with pro-active membership serving the diverse needs of women through leadership, service and support.  Dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

Hispanic and Latinx Resources

Arbour Counseling ServicesMental health services for diverse populations, including specific Latino services conducted in Spanish.

Centro Las AmericasCommunity multi-service provider whose mission is to serve, empower, and advocate in the Greater Worcester Community.

Disability Resources

Center for Living and Working, Inc. - Services available for anyone with a disability. Independent living services and personal care management, services for deaf and hard of hearing consumers.

Massachusetts Commission for the Blind - MCB serves individuals in Massachusetts who are legally blind by providing access to employment opportunities and social rehabilitation with the goal of increasing independence and self-determination.

Tri-Valley, Inc. - Meeting the needs of seniors, disabled persons, and their caregivers in Central Massachusetts. Meals on Wheels, home care, personal care attendant, adult family care and congregate housing programs.

Elder Resources

Elder Services of Worcester County - Keep eligible elders and younger disabled individuals safe at home for as long as possible by providing in home and community services. Caregiver support and LGBT elder network.

MassOptions - Help make good decisions concerning care for the elders of Massachusetts and to help elders find the resources they need to maintain their independence. Also information for individuals with disabilities.

Summit ElderCare - A medical, insurance, and social support program for persons age 55 and older that help older adults remain living in the community as an alternative to moving to a nursing home.

LGBTQ+ Resources

MA Commission on LGBTQ Youth - List of resources and contact information to protect and support the health and safety of LGBT youth in Massachusetts.

Safe Homes - Supportive services for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning young people between the ages of 14 and 23.

Immigrant/Refugee Resources

Ascentria Care Alliance - Ascentria serves children, youth and families; persons with developmental disabilities, mental illness and deafness; persons who are economically disadvantaged; refugees, including unaccompanied refugee minors; and older adults. Formerly Lutheran Social Services of New England.

Catholic Charities of Worcester - Resources for families and individuals in need throughout Worcester County.

Center for Health Impact - Interpreter services for patient interactions and healthcare environments. Also provides translation services. Formerly known as Central Massachusetts Area Health Education Center (AHEC)

Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Center (RIAC) - Comprehensive services to refugees and immigrants, including resettlement, counseling, health counseling, cultural assimilation, job counseling, and social services. Contact Worcester office.

Legal Assistance

MassLegalHelp - Access to justice for low income and disadvantaged persons. Includes basic information about legal rights on many topics, help finding legal aid, forms, online help.

U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services - Offers help with USCIS forms. US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) works with local governments, libraries and qualified immigration service providers to ensure immigrants receive accurate information about immigration benefits.
