Welcome to the Lamar Soutter Library's subject guide for the NICU Family Resource Center. This guide contains information, resources, and support groups for the families visiting the NICU.
Although most of our resources are available online from any computer, we also maintain the Homer Gage Library on the Memorial campus where we have study space, photocopier, and a consumer health collection, a book swap, and a small collection of books. The library is located on the first floor near the cafeteria and amphitheater.
Don't forget to visit the NICU's Facebook page, which is managed by the UMass Memorial NICU Parent and Family Advisory Council.
Kindle Fire HD 7 Tablets are available for family use at the bedside. Please ask to borrow one while you are visiting.
The Kindle Project has been funded in whole or in part with Federal funds from the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, under Contract No. #HHS-N-276-2011-0001C with the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Our NICU has earned an international reputation for providing the best possible care to our littlest patients. More than 20,000 babies have been cared for in the last four decades and the team has been a part of incredible advancements in how critically-ill babies are nurtured.
