Fur-get the stress: The library hosts visits from Finn the Therapy Dog; keep an eye out for signs in the library about Finn's next scheduled visit!
SAD Lights: Available for use within the library on a first come, first serve basis, the SAD (seasonal affective disorder) Lights can be found in the reference section in front of the library service desk. No need to check them out!
Games and puzzles: Available by request from the front desk, the library offers board games, puzzles, and cornhole boards for student use.
Recreational reading: The library offers recreational reads ranging from graphic medicine to plague fiction to popular paperbacks. If you have some fiction or non-fiction books you want to get rid of, bring them to the library - we’ll put them in the Soutter Swap! The Swap is a great place to pick up gently used novels as well.
Themed book displays: Looking for recommendations of what to read next? The library's stellar front desk staff curates great book displays that follow a theme or observe a holiday or event. One recent display is "The Science of Emotions." Explore past displays.
Space and seating: The library space is multi-use and available to students 24/7 via card swipe; find peace and quiet on the library's upper floors with the options to sit on couches, in carrels, or at more traditional seating. On the first floor, chatting is encouraged, as is group work when allowed by university pandemic policy.
